Note: Deleting the 'Settings' file will reset all your configurations, such as music, sound, graphics settings, etc. My thought on why the game might crash and why deleting the 'settings' file might fix it: I think it's because I always leave the game's music turned off in the shticker book,and that might have to do something with it not properly saving in the settings file or something, idk, just a thought, and maybe thats why it crashes. ((ALSO, You may have to do the steps all over again after closing the game and delete the 'settings.json' file all over again to make the game run again, This is NOT a permanent fix,but just a temporary fix that fixes the crashing allowing the game to launch properly, So if it crashes on launch after closing the game,try repeating the steps and it should work again.)) Your game should now launch properly,if not try the steps again,and if it still doesn't it post below.ĭisclaimer: (This is NOT guaranteed to fix your game, I'm just testing to see if this fixes the issue for some people,and want to know if it works for others) So what I have done to prevent the game from crashing after launching is I go to the game's folder by right clicking the launcher on your desktop and clicking "open file location" in the menu,and once the folder is open you want to find a file named " settings.json" or " settings" - Make sure your Launcher is closed before moving onto the next step, and simply right-click the " Settings.json" and delete it, and then make sure you 'recyle' or 'empty' it from your "recycle bin" on your desktop to permanently delete it,and then restart your launcher and launch the game, if it still crashes like the screenshot I posted above, Then do all the steps over again,and make sure you deleted it from the recycle bin too.ĭon't worry, the launcher will make another "Settings" file for you after launching the game :)
I'm about to show you a method that has worked for me.and let me run the game without running it in compatibility mode (which most people have been doing as a temporarily fix for this,but this method usually makes the game laggier and slower, like for me.) Does your game crash instantly on launch such as this?
